U-Haul
As I drove to the the U-Haul store in Conroe, I called Robert Rizzo, our friend and business partner. I relayed all the problems to him. I hated to admit it, but I needed help -- I was exhausted/drained/angry/depressed/frustrated, and there was no way I was going to be in any condition to load the trailer. I asked if he could come up and help my father-in-law load the trailer. He agreed. Thanks, Robert!!!
I got to U-Haul, and while they were hooking everything up, I took a cat nap in one of the ratty chairs they had in the store. When they called my name, I went to pay. Our Pontiac Montana Minivan isn't really built for towing anything, so they had to install a hitch and wire it all up. $260. OUCH!!!
The one-way trailer rental -- another $250!!!
I think we were robbed of some of our allotted footage in the moving truck, so I am going to measure it when it is finally unloaded!!!
Now I had to head back home, get the trailer loaded, and get on the road with our two cats and head to San Antonio to stay the night at my parent's home.
