Saturday

I forgot to mention that I dropped off the U-Haul trailer at the local store on Friday night. I was glad to be rid of it. I then went to the local Wal-Mart SuperCenter to get my oil changed. Our vehicle tells you when to get an oil change (it says "100" when you get a new oil change, and it was down to "1" -- I definitely need to get that done before driving to Phoenix on Sunday.

Anyway... My brother, Curby, came up Saturday. He was originally going to help me unload the trailer and get things set up in the apartment. Since the truck wasn't coming, and I was depressed, we went to CompUSA to buy a mouse and a power cord for my computer. I had packed most of my computer equipment in our van. Somehow, the box with all the cables and some other important items got put on the moving truck instead of the van. Afterwards, we went to Chili's for lunch. It was good not to have to think about things for an hour or so.

Later that afternoon, my brother left and I started to straighten a few things out. I went to the local Costco and Target to look for a good air mattress. I also got my internet connection working thanks to the tech support at Comcast.net. The software disk they sent was kind of old, and didn't seem compatible with the latest version of OS X I am running on my Mac.

I called David The Driver to see how his truck was... he said it would be next in line to be fixed on Sunday morning. I am, of course, skeptical.

Kerry, I keep reading each day to see if the truck has arrived. If I ever hear on TV that they are searching for "horror" moving stories I will let you know.
