Loading Problems - Part 1
I had hired a company called A Plus Premium Movers that I found at eMove.com (U-Haul). They were highly rated and were very flexible with me in regards to when they would be needed (as the truck schedule kept changing). Four young guys showed up with a pregnant woman (who is the wife of the owner of the loading company). The "lead" guy who was to help load the truck injured himself that morning. So I was left with four obviously inexperienced loaders. The lady tried to help manage things, but there was only so much she could do. They stood around much of the time trying to figure things out, and they weren't very efficient when it came to maximizing the space on the truck.
At 5:30 or 6:00 pm, the owner of the company, David, showed up and things finally got into gear. He managed things from then, but told me he would have to leave soon, but another "lead" (Dan) would be coming.
By this time, most of our belongings were on the driveway or in the front yard. Our neighbor from across the street told Kristina that her parents said it was pouring rain in Conroe and it was heading our way!! They loaders quickly moved everything back into the garage, just as the deluge hit! The rain came down and dampened my spirits as much as anything had so far.
To add to our misery, the loaders started to say that they weren't sure if everything would fit on the truck!!!!!!!
The rain finally let up and they proceeded to pack the truck. They were right, it wasn't going to all fit.
