Dead camera

Our relatively new digital camera (Canon Powershot A610) suffered some severe damage the other day. We're not sure how, but the shutter button fell off! We tried to put it back on, but when I tried, a small whiff of smoke and the unmistakable scent of ozone was released. So it's on the way to the factory repair center in Illinois. It's still under warranty, but I don't think issue will be covered. We can only hope.
