Why Are You Moving?
When people find out we are moving, everyone asks, "Why"?
Well, Kristina and I have been talking/planning about moving out of The Woodlands for over a year. Originally, we were going to move across the freeway to another community. But last September, we went to Sierra Vista, AZ,to attend my brother's wedding. Sierra Vista is about an hour or so southeast of Tucson, and we really liked it there -- it's beautiful, in the mountains, has good weather, etc. So we started to think about moving there -- why not? We are self-employed, and can live where ever we want. Why stay in Houston?
We pursued that idea some, but after more investigation, Sierra Vista turned out to be too small for us. So we started to think about other cities that met the criteria we had. Such as:
- Better weather than Houston (something less humid!)
- Fewer mosquitoes than Houston (skeeters love us and our kids!)
- Smaller than Houston (4.5 million + is too darn big!)
- Has a Presbyterian (PCA) church
- Has a Classical Christian School for our kids
- Fewer allergy problems (we suffer from terrible allergies in The Woodlands!)
